Clippopotamus, or just “Clippo” to our friends, is an all-Canadian kids’ accessories company owned by Alexandria Durrell. A supermom to two delightful wee peeps by day (and night, who are we kidding?) and a dedicated crafty sort, she started the popular Clippo line with hair clips for her then-one-year-old daughter Story in 2007. When the hair clip market became saturated she expanded the line by listening to the everyday frustrations of parents and creating products to make things easier on them. Alexandria’s superhero sidekick is her husband Ryan (also a superDad, let's not forget) – an actuarial analyst with a wicked sense of humour, design talent out the wazoo, and an epic portion of patience. From selling just to friends to stocking retailers across the country, Ryan & Alexandria have built a company on honesty, charity and originality.

Vanessa DiCiacca is the real magic behind Clippo. She's a mom to three kids 4 and under, the wife of a great guy named Kevin and an amazing friend to all. And as soon as we get a shot of her (she never stops, how are we to capture her in a photo?), we'll put her up here for all to see.
